"Auspicious" dates
In India and China, it is standard practice to pick an auspicious date for your wedding. Even in the Western society, people often find it reassuring to pick numbers or dates that have personal meaning. A Chinese custom is to select a date with as many even numbers as possible (such as 4-12-2006).
The following are auspicious dates for marriage in 2009, with 2010 dates available here, and 2011 dates coming later in 2009, so bookmark this page if you're planning a 2011 wedding. Keep in mind that the date should match with the birth stars of both the bride and the groom. Good luck!

NOTE: Many brides will try to avoid choosing wedding dates in the seventh month of the chinese calendar, despite the fact that there are indeed auspicious dates for weddings in this month.. This is because in China, the Chinese Hungry Ghost festival lasts for the entire seventh month of the Chinese calendar. Something to consider if you are planning a Chinese wedding.
